Zid is a common Hindi/ Urdu word which means insistence, persistence, or doggedness.
It can be used as a noun, as well as a verb, the latter as 'zid karna', that would mean to be stubborn, to be obstinate, to decide something and just not budge from that.
I would like to add here that zid is mostly considered a negative thing, especially since every child in Hindi/Urdu speaking regions is asked not to do 'zid', or not to be 'ziddi'. Ziddi is someone who does zid, someone who shows stubbornness, or is being stubborn.

The Shaukeens Meaning
Shaukeen is a Hindi word, mostly used for someone who is fond of something. That is, if someone loves to play music, you can say s/he is a 'shaukeen' of music.
However, at times the word is used independent of any hobby, and that often signifies that the person in question likes to indulge. This indulging can be in alcohol, of amorous nature, or otherwise.
'The Shaukeens' is an upcoming film, based on a 1981 film called 'Shaukeen' which had Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal and Rati Agnihotri in main roles. The present film has Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra playing the roles along with Lisa Haydon.

Rang Rasiya Meaning | रंग रसिया

Interestingly, as it has happened in earlier Sooraj Barjatya movies, Salman Khan's name in the movie will be Prem, and hence the title could well mean more like the original Bhajan, just replacing the name of Raam with Prem, instead of 'love' that is the meaning of Prem.
