Hawaizaada Meaning | हवाईज़ादा

Hawaizaada is made up by adding the suffix -zaada to Hindi/Urdu word Hawai. As we have explained earlier in the meanings of ishaqzaade and mastizaade,

“Literally, -zaada is a suffix used for someone born of/from/as a result of, like Shahzaada would mean a son of Shah and Har*mzaada would mean a bas**rd, someone who is born as a result of Ha**m, considered so as it's out of Wedlock.”

Hence, hawaizaada would mean someone who is born out of air, or maybe born in the house of winds.

I am not sure though that it is exactly what the makers of the film intended it to be. It seems they intended it to be more like somebody who plays with air or winds.

Maaza My Lord Meaning

Maaza (More like Maajha as it would be transliterated outside Maharashtra) is a Marathi word which means my, or mine. Mera in Hindi. So Maazaa my Lord would literally translate to 'my my lord', which would actually mean nothing but 'my lord' only.

Maaza my lord is a song sung by Mohit Chauhan in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Hawaizaada.

Zid, Ziddi Meaning | ज़िद, ज़िद्दी

Zid is a common Hindi/ Urdu word which means insistence, persistence, or doggedness.

It can be used as a noun, as well as a verb, the latter as 'zid karna', that would mean to be stubborn, to be obstinate, to decide something and just not budge from that.

I would like to add here that zid is mostly considered a negative thing, especially since every child in Hindi/Urdu speaking regions is asked not to do 'zid', or not to be 'ziddi'. Ziddi is someone who does zid, someone who shows stubbornness, or is being stubborn.

Auliya Meaning

Auliya [Devanagari:औलिया,Urdu:اولیا] is an Arabic word meaning friend, helper, supporter, patron or protector. It's often used to designate the status of a saint.

The word is most commonly known in India by the name of the famous Nizamuddin Auliya whose mausoleum (dargaah) is in Delhi.

Surya Ast Punjabi Mast Meaning

A few months ago a party song 'Sooraj Ast te Baabbe Mast' was there on TVs, from a film called 'What the Fish' and I thought it was a fun line. Now the same sentence gets Punjab-ized and comes up as Surya ast, Punjabi mast.

Anyway, the sense of the line is that as the sun sets, that is as soon as it's evening, Punjabis get 'mast', which generally means they enjoy, but here it is also a euphemism for 'get drunk.' Of course, if we are generalizing so much, we can also say that most Punjabis do enjoy when they get drunk, though I wouldn't suggest that they enjoy only when they drink or just by that means.

Pakeezah Meaning

Pakeezah [or Paakeezah or Pakizah or Pakeeza or Pakiza, Devanagari:पाक़ीज़ा, Persian/Urdu:پاکیزه] is a word from the Persian [Farsi] language, which means pure, clean, righteous.

The word has come to Urdu from Persian, and has the same meaning there too. Pakeezah was a 1972 Hindi film starring Meena Kumari, and is the title of a song in the film Ungli.

G Phaad Ke Meaning

And there, you said it all. Without saying much, really. Yes. G is the same word which was the bone of contention in Honey Singh's Party All Night in Akshay's Boss. It's.. well, some adult supervision may be needed here, gaand, which means arse in older English, ass in modern one, and bum in a rather Khoobsurat language.

However, the word is just uttered as 'G' in the song, and one can simply consider it Hindi 'Jee' which means heart, and you could even say you have to dance Jee Phaad Ke, that is, opening your heart, with all your heart, freely, if you will.

However, the makers probably didn't want this to be taken in a wrong way, and hence mentioned the song title as 'G Phaad ke', so you know it's not the heart, but another part of your body literally behind you.

And, oh, if I missed the meaning of G Phaad ke in the whole drama, it would still mean 'without any inhibition' here, the same if you thought it was 'jee'.

Gamzada/ Ghamzada Meaning

Ghamzada is an Urdu word that comes from the root gham, that means sorrow.

-zada (not zaada which is with a flat 'a') is a suffix used which means hurt, affected by. So when we add it to gham, it makes ghamzada, one who is affected by sorrow, or simply, sorrowful, sad.

Tharki Chokro Meaning [ठरकी छोकरो]

Tharki is a Hindi word which means lascivious, pervert or lewd. Chhokra is Hindi which means a boy, a guy, and chhokro is a dialectic version of it, spoken in Rajasthan and a few other Indian states.

Hence, Tharki Chhokro means a lascivious boy, or pervert guy.

However, at times the word is used independent of any hobby, and that often signifies that the person in question likes to indulge. This indulging can be in alcohol, of amorous nature, or otherwise.

'The Shaukeens' is an upcoming film, based on a 1981 film called 'Shaukeen' which had Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal and Rati Agnihotri in main roles. The present film has Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra playing the roles along with Lisa Haydon.

Rang Rasiya Meaning | रंग रसिया

Rasiya is a Hindi word which means a man of feeling or passion, a pleasure seeker, and at times it could even mean a dissolute man.

The word comes from the root 'ras' which in this context means taste, pleasure. 'Rasik' and 'rasiya' are two words made on the root which have the same meaning.

Rang rasiya is more or less the same as rasiya. Literally it would translate to a pleasure seeker from color, or from colorful things, but more or less the meaning remains the same. Oxford dictionary says 'rang rasiya' would mean a voluptuous or lascivious person, which basically means it's a person who is interested in sensual pleasures.

The word 'rang' in rang rasiya also gets important in context of the film Rang Rasiya, as the film is based on the life of Raja Ravi Varma who was a painter, and 'rang' literally means 'color.'

Shaandaar/ Shandaar Meaning | शानदार

Shaandaar or Shandaar [Devanagari:शानदार,Urdu:شاندار] is an Urdu-Hindi word which means grand, spectacular.

The word comes from the root 'shaan' which means Glory, Grandeur, Status in Urdu as well as Persian. Therefore the word Shaandaar means one with glory, with grandeur, with status, i.e. glorious, grand.

Shandaar is an upcoming Hindi film, starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, directed by Vikas Bahl.

Tamasha Meaning | तमाशा

Tamasha is a common, simple Hindi-Urdu word, which means a show, a spectacle.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Meaning

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is an upcoming Salman Khan movie to be directed by Sooraj Barjatya, who has earlier made Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, and Hum Saath Saath Hain.

The title of the movie is inspired by Meerabai's popular bhajan, Raam Ratan Dhan Paayo, which means 'I have got the wealth of the gem that my Lord's name is.'

Here in the title, Raam is replaced by Prem, and hence it means 'I have got the wealth of the gem of Love.'

Interestingly, as it has happened in earlier Sooraj Barjatya movies, Salman Khan's name in the movie will be Prem, and hence the title could well mean more like the original Bhajan, just replacing the name of Raam with Prem, instead of 'love' that is the meaning of Prem.
